Research questions

Research questions:

1      How will the evolution of technology affect your life going forward?

a.     It will enhance my life. Medically and socially

b.      So I’m a biology major looking to go into the field of music therapy so I expect that advancements in medical technologies will only widen my array of ways in which I can help people.

c.     I think the progressions that’s already been made in health and communication will be very important in my life time and the future after me.

2      Do you think technology will continue to reshape society as we know it?

a.     Yeah absolutely, are you kidding?

b.     Considering what a large impact it has already had I would continue to assume that we as people will adapt around widely adopted technologies.

c.     Yes I do

3      What is the biggest effect technology changes will have on your life?

a.     I don’t know, I feel like I’ll be able to create my children through a lab

b.      I think it will most greatly affect my life in that it will continue to aid in the facilitation of communicating with others on a global scale.

c.     I think they’re going to allow me to access whatever I want whenever I want and make life just a lot easier.

I think my question appearance certainly influenced the overall response I got in addition to the level of engagement I got. The question asking whether technology will affect our lives the answer was simply a unanimous yes. The broader questions got more broad answers naturally. I got mixed results as to which questions received what type of answer however. When I asked about the effect it will have directly on one’s life I saw the answers to be in a more positive way. In fact, the response to all the questions were in positive matters. They all revolved around technology aiding in making life easier. Perhaps the answers could have been more in depth from the individuals I asked but I was still able to get a feel for what they intended/ meant by their responses. People are uncertain what to expect from technology going forward. We all seem to agree that technology is certainly going to continue to change the world but we don’t exactly know how. It will influence our lives in some way but we don’t know how or when. The overall anticipation is hopeful and excited for where this runaway train of technology will end up.
